Accessibility statement
Our commitment
D2X Enterprises LLC is committed to making HeadlinesBot.com usable by the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We design, build, and maintain the Site with accessibility as a core consideration rather than an afterthought.
Conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. WCAG 2.2 was published by the W3C in 2023 and is the current widely-adopted standard for digital accessibility. We treat conformance as an ongoing process, not a fixed achievement, and we re-test as we change the Site.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML so the page structure conveys meaning to assistive technologies.
- Provide a logical heading hierarchy, descriptive link text, and sufficient color contrast.
- Support full keyboard navigation, including visible focus indicators.
- Provide text alternatives for non-decorative images and icons.
- Test against WCAG 2.2 AA criteria during development using a combination of automated tools and manual checks (keyboard-only, screen reader, zoom, reduced motion).
- Honor the operating-system-level
prefers-reduced-motionpreference where animation is used.
Known visual-design considerations
HeadlinesBot.com uses a stylized "CRT" visual aesthetic, including scanline overlays, phosphor color palettes, and subtle motion effects. While we consider this a meaningful part of the brand, we recognize that this presentation can be uncomfortable or unusable for some visitors, including those with:
- Photosensitivity, including but not limited to photosensitive epilepsy.
- Vestibular or motion sensitivity.
- Low vision or contrast sensitivity that reacts poorly to overlay textures.
If this describes you, we strongly encourage you to use the alternate accessibility-friendly version of the Site, described below.
Lite version
We offer a parallel, accessibility-first version of HeadlinesBot.com at:
https://headlinesbot.com/lite/
The Lite version uses high-contrast colors, plain typography, semantic markup, no scanlines, no overlay textures, no decorative motion, and a screen-reader-first reading order. It exposes the same headline index as the main Site. Bookmarking the Lite URL will keep you on that experience.
If the Lite page is unavailable for any reason, please report it using the contact channel below and we will treat the report as a high-priority accessibility issue.
Scope and limitations
This statement applies only to HeadlinesBot.com. Each card on the Site links to an external destination (most often an article on AllThingsAI.work, sometimes a third-party publisher). The accessibility of those destinations is governed by their own publishers and is outside our control.
We do not currently make legal claims about whether HeadlinesBot.com is a place of public accommodation under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The legal status of passive informational websites under the ADA remains unsettled in several federal circuits, including the Third Circuit. Regardless of how that doctrine evolves, our voluntary commitment to WCAG 2.2 AA stands.
Pennsylvania visitors
Pennsylvania residents are protected under the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and related state and federal civil-rights laws covering disability. Nothing in this statement waives or limits any right you may have under those laws.
Reporting an accessibility barrier
If you encounter a part of HeadlinesBot.com that you cannot use because of a disability, please tell us. We treat barrier reports as a priority, and we use them to improve the Site.
Email: accessibility@d2xenterprises.com
Subject line: Accessibility Barrier
Please include, if you are comfortable doing so:
- The page URL where you ran into the barrier.
- A brief description of what happened.
- The assistive technology, browser, and operating system you were using.
We aim to acknowledge every report within five business days and to follow up with a substantive response or fix plan as quickly as feasible. If a fix will take longer, we will tell you what is in progress.
